Week Four - Presets and Custom Brushes and Settings

Fourth Week Homework:

  1. Read through all lessons and practice exercises. Ask any questions you may have about the lesson in the Bulletin Board
  2. Create a pumpkin or two. Show examples.
  3. Create a Witch. Make any changes to the shapes or colors that you wish and display your results.
  4. Try your hand at adding elements to the exercises and display them. Use your imagination.

Extra Credit: (Optional)

  • Create a Halloween picture using the images created in this week.

  
The pumpkin as a vector drawing and inner beveled with cutouts for the face to make it a Jack o'Lantern. Then used as a brush to make a background.
    
The witch hat, the basic witch, and the witch used in a sig tag image. Below is a pumpkin button, a bat button (shape), and a little witch button. Bars are made with the tubed pumpkin.
    

Here is my Extra Credit image - The witch about to carve the pumpkin, I made the knife and tubed it. Her hair is the curl/fur brush with variance in shades of green and gray, then deformed to fit around her head and under the hat. Background includes some brushed clouds (just painting and blurring), the bat, the moon, and a ghost.

  • Shapes - includes pumpkin, bat, witch hat, witch face, and witch w/ hat (no hair).
