Week 1 - Getting Started: How to Create A Simple Form
First Week Homework:
- Download one of the free text editors described earlier in this lesson. If you already have a text editor that you like, you can skip this step.
- Create your first simple HTML form and save it to your hard drive using these easy instructions. Earlier in this lesson, I asked you to use Notepad for the sake of simplicity, but you can use the text editor that you just downloaded if you wish.
- Remember... you won't actually see your form on your web page because you need to add tags, parameters, and buttons to make it work. We'll discuss these in the next lesson.
- It is not necessary to turn in this homework, but please be sure to complete these two projects.
My first form will soon take shape here!
NOTE: My new site has a cgi-bin and I read up on how to post and e-mail the form, then re-direct people to a thank you page.
